Dr. Todd Small
Dr. Small is a transplant from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He grew up with the great Canadian game of hockey. As a youth, he excelled playing minor hockey right up to Junior "A" and continued to play varsity hockey at the University of Regina where he began his education degree. Dr. Small completed his degree at the University of Saskatchewan and turned his focus toward coaching and development of hockey skills in minor players.
Fulfilling educational goals lead Dr. Small to Toronto and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Throughout the four years at chiropractic college, Dr. Small continued to play varsity hockey while maintaining and deepening his interests in leading the development of younger players.
Settling finally in Windsor in May 1999, Dr. Small currently enjoys practicing chiropractic at his two offices in Tecumseh and Belle River that he shares with his wife, Dr. Sarah Dale.
When not practicing at the offices, Dr. Small spends time working with the Junior "C" hockey team, the Belle River Canadiens and the Junior "B" hockey teams, the Tecumseh Chiefs and the Leamington Flyers. He is inspired by helping athletes improve their performance ability and improve their chances of staying healthy throughout the long playing season.
Dr. Small has found that keeping up to date with current developments in athletic injury management and prevention allows him to provide a valuable service to his patients, both athlete and non-athlete. In addition to conventional chiropractic care and acupuncture therapies, Dr. Small is a fully accredited provider of
Active Release Techniques® (ART®), which enables him to administer an especially effective treatment for long-standing or recurring problems involving muscle or other soft tissue.
While focusing in part on athletes and their related injuries, Dr. Small also is dedicated to his family oriented practice which was established first by Dr. Neil West over twenty years ago. Since taking over from Dr. West, Dr. Small, his wife, Dr. Dale and their associate, Dr. Stephen O'Neil have watched the practice grow and develop into a busy, comprehensive and well-rounded clinic.
Dr. Sarah Dale
Since 1997 Dr. Sarah has been developing a chiropractic practice serving all members of the community with a particular focus on family wellness. As a parent, she understands that ensuring a child’s health is a parent’s number one priority. More than any other member of our population, infants and children can gain the most from chiropractic. These individuals have the most potential to be healthy. In 2005, Dr. Sarah began a course with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to learn advanced diagnostic and adjusting techniques for infants, children and pregnant mothers including The Webster Technique (adjustments which turn a baby in the breech position).
From the first year of her practice Dr. Sarah has incorporated needle acupuncture along with chiropractic. She has been a member of the Ontario Acupuncture Council since 1998. Acupuncture opens up to scope of the practice to include helping practice members cope with some of the symptoms associated with their conditions from sinusitis, to headaches, to lower back pain.
Dr. Sarah’s vision for the future includes expanding her practice to serve even more children and families. Our children are our future and they deserve the best care we can possibly supply.
